Hello from the HSSC:

The Eva Burrell Animal Shelter wishes you a great 4th of July! To help keep your pets safe during festivities and fireworks, we have a few patriotic and common sense tips. • Resist the urge to take your pet to fireworks displays. • Do not leave your pet in the care. • Keep your pets indoors at home in a sheltered, quiet area. • Don’t leave your pet outside unattended, even in a fenced yard or on a chain. • Make sure your pet is wearing a collar and identification tags. • If you lose your pet, call the animal shelter or animal control. • Leave a description of your pet, where it was lost and your phone number. • If you’re in the Manistique area, call the Eva Burrell Animal Shelter at 341-1000.
