Ashley is happy as the day is long. Everything in life is new to her and each new thing demands her immediate attention. Ashley started life without a lot of care or love. She is learning fast, but we feel she will do best with an experienced dog owner. She’s a sweet, bouncy girl who needs patience and understanding. She knows how to snuggle in your lap, and when you’re sitting on the floor with her, she can play all day long. We are working on "leave it” and she takes treats very gently from our hands. She was quick to learn the commands “sit” and “down”. Our volunteer dog walkers report that her behavior on leash is improving. Ashley is a great little girl looking for a home with someone who understands this breed.

Sunday has not been with us long, but he seems to be one of the sweetest dogs we’ve seen. A medium size boy, he shows excellent manners and walks nicely on leash. He knows the commands sit and down, and he loves kids and cats. Outside in our exercise yard, he shows his herding dog background by being a bit more interested in simply being close to our human volunteers instead of spending most of his time checking out all the interesting smells on the ground. At 4 years old, Sunday’s past the puppy stage, and he’s housetrained and polite. If you’re looking for a gentle, quiet companion, stop by and meet Sunday.
